This examination serves as a benchmark for your current oral health and includes planning should any problems be found.

A dental x-ray is a diagnostic tool that helps your dentist detect damage and disease.

During your first visit you will meet your care team and complete your comprehensive exam, oral cancer screening and hygiene (cleaning) appointments.

Dr. Clarke, MBBS, DDS, who is the only dentist in The Bahamas, with both a dental and medical degree will complete your exams. 

Our comprehensive exam is a thorough assessment of your oral cavity which includes each tooth, the gums and tongue. 

The oral cancer screening includes looking for the presence of any patches or mouth sores, lumps or other abnormalities. 

We also perform a head and neck exam as your oral cavity is the gateway to your entire body.

Further, a complete medical history as well as any medications you're currently taking are recorded. 

This allows us to not only discover any treatment needed but also determine the underlying causes of said treatment. 

Our practice philosophy is integrative care combining both medicine and dentistry to give you the best treatment for your individual needs. 

Your hygiene appointment will be completed by Mika Lockhart, RDH. During this appointment you will be given noise cancelling headphones and may watch your favorite television series from our ceiling mounted tv. 

Next, after completing your clinical appointments you will meet with one of our Treatment Coordinators to discuss the cost of any treatment needed, your member discounts and the payment plans available to you.

Ms. Darling combines her training in both Finance and International Business and Dental Technology from Indiana - Purdue University to lead the administrative and technical teams. All dental prosthesis such as crowns, bridges, veneers and dentures are made by Ms. Darling. She also leads the design and strategy for the company.

Andre' Clarke, MBBS,DDS

Andre' Clarke with training in both medicine and dentistry leads our clinical team with an interdisciplinary approach to care. He is the only dentist in The Bahamas with dual medical and dental degrees and treats patients on - site within the practice and Doctors Hospital. Further, he liaisons with other medical practitioners throughout the country to help manage chronic and complex medical conditions. Dr. Clarke will be your primary provider/dentist and/or part of the clinical team for medical conditions that affect your oral cavity. 

Mika Lockhart, RDH

Head of Hygiene

Mika Lockhart  with training from Tennessee State University/Meharry College has been a practising hygienist for over 25 years. She is a former past president of the Dental Hygiene Association and medical coder. Ms. Lockhart liaisons with Dr. Clarke and will advise him of any area of concern that need further evaluation or treatment during your hygiene/cleaning appointment.

How soon can I access my member benefits? 

Your membership is active after signing your membership agreement which is emailed to you with 72 hours after payment. There is no waiting period to access dental care. 

SmileCare Club is an in-house membership plan exclusively available at The Dental House. Your dentist will be Dr. Andre' Clarke. 

There are two payments available, monthly payments via salary deduction for government employees or an annual payment via cash or credit card for non -government employees.

Yes, we offer payment plans on most dental procedures. During your comprehensive exam we will discuss these options based on the treatment needed. 

Yes, we do have a Kids Club that requires at least one parent or guardian  be a plan member. However, our family plans are at 

capacity and is currently closed. 

There is no annual maximum and no limit to how much you can use or save during your annual plan.
